How To Thank Bridesmaid?

We all know bridesmaids are so crucial to every wedding. A bride just can not do with out them. She could help the bride in every aspect of planning the wedding like she can become bouncing board for the ideas, she can go with the bride for wedding location hunting, buying a nice bridal dress is usually a big headache for a bride, she can help her with that, she can collaborate with the bride to get a nice bridesmaid dress for herself and then finally during the wedding a bridesmaid is the most sought after and coveted designation, she is always with the bride every where. Considering the fact that a bridesmaid puts up so much time and effort in helping out the bride with every possible aspect of the wedding, it is natural for the bride to feel grateful and reward her and acknowledge her in some tangible manner.

The best way to acknowledge the efforts put up by a bridesmaid is to give her a nice gift. That gift need not be very expensive or some thing really exotic, a reasonably priced and a thoughtful gift would always be appreciated and remembered. However grateful you may feel but you should follow the constraints imposed by your budget. So buy her some thing which is decent and does not look distasteful or cheap.

There are varieties of locations from where you can get a nice gift for the bridesmaid. These days internet has become a great source for buying gifts. After all with so many beautiful online stores, where you can browse so many varieties, compare the prices and getting for yourself the best possible deal, all the while sitting with in the comforts of your home. Infact if you can afford, the best gift for a bridesmaid could be her bridesmaid dress, this will be some thing which she could use in future for other formal occasions. If you are running short of money then even then you can give her a personalized gift like a framed photograph of you with the bridesmaid.

Best Man Speeches

Being a best man is the greatest honor one can have in wedding of their closest friend or some relative. After bride and groom, a best man is most widely noticed during a wedding. One of the important responsibilities of the best man, apart from looking good along with bride and groom, is to deliver a best man speech. Now this speech, if meticulously prepared and executed, would linger in the memories of the guests for a longer period of time.
On the contrary if a best man speech is long, dragging, taking potshots at the bride and groom in an insulting manner or simply going astray, it again becomes memorable but for all the wrong reasons. So it is always better to properly prepare your speech.

These are few points, which can help you prepare a good best man speech:

• As they say “well begun is half done”, it’s very crucial to plan how you will open your speech; a well begun speech will pave the way for the excellent delivery of the remaining part of the speech. Do not make the mistake of opening your speech with a bawdy joke or try to be outrageously funny. It’s always better to start your speech in an elegant and respectful manner. Make it a point to acknowledge the most important members of the ‘wedding party’.

• Share your funny encounters or incidents involving groom. But make sure while you are taking a dig at him, do not cross the limit and sound insulting at any point of time. If you have met the bride before then do mention her most endearing qualities and why you think she is the best match for him.

• Most important thing to remember is that you should not be inebriated state when you stand to make the speech. Under the influence of alcohol you may end up saying lots of inappropriate things, which you may regret later on.

3342295432_733fa81cbb_mThe best man is more than a groomsman. The best man actually has several special responsibilities which are designed to help out the groom and make his special day less stressful.

Here’s an overview of the best man’s basic duties:

1. The basic idea is that you are the groom’s personal aid. Whatever the groom needs in terms of advice, support or even running errands, you should be there for him.

2. One of your most important roles is to help the groom choose and rent wedding formalwear, and coordinate the groomsmen’s tuxedo rental.

3. Organize the bachelor party. This is a fun duty, isn’t it? Make sure you enlist the help of the other groomsmen, and remember that everyone who attends the party should help pay for it.

4. Arrange accommodations for out-of-town groomsmen.

5. Attend the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. This is really helpful in making sure things go smoothly during the ceremony itself.

6. Stand beside the groom at the altar and keep the bride’s ring until vows are exchanged. This is a big responsibility and many best men find it more than a little stressful. The best way to make sure it goes smoothly is to designate a specific place for the ring and practice taking it out of your pocket and handing it to the groom.

7. Give the first toast to the bride and groom at the reception. This could be scary! – public speaking always is – but remember: practice makes perfect.

As much as this is stressful for you, the groom is a lot more stressed than you are. Do your best to relax and be as calm and helpful as possible. The groom needs your calm, reassuring presence on this special day.
