Getting Married In Las Vegas

Las Vegas represents the ultimate in opulence, glamour, glitter and high life. This is a city which never stops, sleeps and is always on the move inviting and enticing people from all over the globe. Apart from its shining casinos, this place also attracts lots of people to tie the wedding knot there. This is quite natural, considering the fact that most of the couples want to make their marriage memorable by getting married in most exotic and glamorous of the places. True to its reputation Las Vegas offers a variety of options for the couples to get married there. There are variety of wedding packages on offer and exotic locations to get married there. You can have an Egyptian wedding, a Camelot wedding, a pirate wedding or an Elvis wedding. Normally a Las Vegas wedding package is quite comprehensive; it includes every thing that would be required for a memorable wedding like limousine, wedding flowers, videographer, photographer and free access to the chapel.

But to get married there are certain legal requirements that should be kept in mind like proof of your age in the form of your driving license, passport or birth certificate. If you are a citizen of United States of America then you must have a social security number. Foreigners may need to produce additional documents to ensure that this marriage is considered legal in their country. If either or both of you are less than 16 years of age then you will need parental and legal approval. You need not undergo any blood test and there is no waiting period.

Recession Weddings

The recession has certainly made a big impact on the wedding industry. Sadly, many couples have decided to postpone their wedding until better times. Other couples decided to go ahead, but have drastically changed their wedding plans.

A recession – any recession – typically means smaller, simpler weddings. This is not necessarily a bad thing and is a normal reaction to tightening budgets and to a general atmosphere of prudence and caution. In addition to smaller guest lists, smaller venues (more people are getting married in their parents’ backyard, for example) and simpler menus, another aspect of the recession is simpler wedding gowns.

Again, not necessarily a bad trend! Fashion normally responds to recessions this way – indeed, a big fashion trend for spring 2010 is simplicity – simple, clean lines – and this reflects on bridal fashion too. We happen to love simple, clean-lined wedding gowns. One of out favorites is Paige – a simple, gorgeous wedding dress by Anya Bridal, who offer Atlanta wedding dresses:

Of course, a recession also means that more brides opt out of buying expensive designer bridal gowns and are instead going for more affordable, discount wedding dresses. The good news: these days, affordable wedding dresses can be just as gorgeous as designer gowns.
